James Rosenfield is Co-Founder and Vice Chairman of Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA), the leading international energy research and advisory firm. CERA is renowned for its independent insight into the energy future - and for influential analysis on technology, markets, geopolitics and strategy. CERA serves over 600 clients from 12 offices worldwide. For over two decades, Mr. Rosenfield was a driving force behind CERA's growth, with oversight of strategy, new products, sales and marketing, business development and operations. He has been engaged in digital strategies, including information technology and its role in the energy industry worldwide. Mr. Rosenfield also created CERAWeek, recognized as the world's leading annual gathering of top executives and government ministers in the energy industry. Mr. Rosenfield has edited, coedited, and coauthored numerous CERA reports, including Cambridge Energy Forums, World Oil Trends, Natural Gas Trends, and Electric Power Trends. In addition he is Series Production Executive for "Commanding Heights: The Battle for the World Economy," a major six hour television documentary based on the book by Daniel Yergin and Joseph Stanislaw. Mr. Rosenfield is a Member of the Corporation of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and the International Association of Energy Economists. He is on the Board of Bio-ERA, a research and advisory firm; and Xcellerex, a bio-manufacturing company he helped to found. He received his undergraduate education at Harvard College and holds an MBA from Boston University. He lives with his wife and three children in Lexington, Massachusetts. |
