As Vice President of Engineering for Smalltown, Jim is responsible for the technical architecture and functionality of the hyper-local community sites that make up Smalltown's "Local Web." Prior to Smalltown, Jim was Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Novo, an Internet consulting company, where he managed websites for corporate powerhouses such as Orbitz, General Motors, Phillip Morris, Proctor & Gamble, Toyota, Levi Strauss, and IKEA. Novo was sold to the French management company Publicis, and renamed Semaphore Partners. Prior to Novo, Jim was a software engineer at PaineWebber and a senior technical architect for Totality/MCI, where he managed the design of mission-critical applications for clients such as American Airlines, K-mart, and Sony. Jim holds a B.S.E. in Computer Science from Princeton University. |
