James Snyder is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager and the head of mortgage trading at Deerfield Capital. Prior to joining Deerfield in 2004, Mr. Snyder was a Managing Director and head bond trader of Spyglass Capital & Trading Co., an investment adviser that managed a mortgage-based hedge fund. Prior to joining Spyglass, he was a Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager for American Express Financial Advisors, Inc., where he headed the mortgage sector group and managed the IDS Federal Income Fund and several other government-oriented bond funds. Jim began his career at Harris Bank and Trust Co. as a quantitative analyst and has extensive experience in quantitative modeling and analysis. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and an M.A. and B.S. from DePaul University. |
