Prior to joining MedaSorb in 2000, Dr. Winchester was Professor of Medicine and Director of Dialysis Programs at Georgetown University School of Medicine for more than 25 years. Dr. Winchester is also currently the Chief of the Nephrology Division at Beth Israel Medical Center, a position he has held since July 2004. He has published more than 200 articles in scientific and medical journals, and has co-authored eight books in the fields of renal replacement therapy and clinical poisoning management. Dr. Winchester is editor-in chief of Replacement of Renal Function, the most widely used textbook for nephrology fellows. Dr. Winchester has published more articles on hemoperfusion than any other nephrologist in the world. He is widely recognized as one of the world�s leading experts in hemoperfusion and toxicology, and is a former member of the Scientific Advisory Board for Total Renal Care (Davita). Dr. Winchester received his medical degree from the University of Glasgow and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. |
