Jamie Staton is the Sports Director and Weekday Sports Anchor at WMUR-TV. He joined Channel 9 on June 23, 1998. Catch all of his highlights and feature stories weekdays at 5, 6, and 11pm. Among the big stories Jamie has recently covered were the World Series in 2004 and 2007 and the 2005 and 2008 Super Bowls. He has also covered three college hockey Frozen Fours, three American League Championship Series between the Red Sox and Yankees, 20 Nascar Nextel Cup Races at NHIS, the U.S. Ski Championships, and Spring Training. He is also the host of the Friday Night High School Football Report. Before joining the WMUR News 9 sports team Jamie most recently worked as Sports Anchor at WOWK-TV a CBS affiliate in Charleston, W.V. He has also worked at Fox affiliates in Martinsburg, W.V., and Bowling Green, Kentucky. He is a native of Windham, NH. |
