Ms. Pater has over five years of experience in the energy industry. Prior to working at Summit Blue, she was a Principal at Entrepreneurial Solutions in Boulder. Current projects include development of a conservation business plan for a major power producer; long-term monitoring and tracking of the effects of market transformation measures; and the assessment of risk management measures considered by utilities in the IRP process. Her recent project work includes strategic planning for the University of Colorado at Boulder Energy Initiative s industry outreach Transforming Energy and Markets. Her role involved developing the vision, measures, and value propositions for internal and external stakeholders; planning focus groups; conducting financial analysis to determine the viability of the offering. As a contractor to Interwest Energy Alliance, she coordinated a comparative assessment of the cost of wind and natural gas resources to customers of the Public Service Company of Colorado (Xcel Energy). Ms. Pater gained extensive experience in renewable energy technology, policy, and development as a Graduate Student Intern for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). At NREL, Ms. Pater authored a technical paper that created a framework for valuing clean energy technologies and contributed to research on wind energy finance mechanisms and the interaction of greenhouse gas regulatory systems and green power marketing efforts. Ms. Pater was a Fulbright Scholar in the Philippines, where she studied climate change policy and public-private partnerships. She has a BA in Government and International Studies from the University of Notre Dame and recently earned a MBA and a MS in Environmental Studies (focus in Energy) from the University of Colorado at Boulder (Leeds School of Business). |
