As the Development Partner at MENLO EQUITIES, Ms. Vaughan is responsible for all aspects of development of the Company's major projects. She is currently developing four office/R&D projects two in Silicon Valley and two in San Diego. The three-building 242,000 square foot Discovery Corporate Center project in the Rancho Bernardo area of San Diego is nearing completion and leased to Broadcom. The 260 Homer project in Palo Alto is permitted and has commenced construction. A five-story R&D building in Sunnyvale on 525 Almanor, four-story multi-tenant office buildings in Kearny Mesa and at 16798 Rancho Bernardo are currently being designed and entitled. In mid-2006, she completed the construction of a 107-unit for sale multi-family residential project in Cupertino.Previously, Ms. Vaughan has entitled an 80-acre campus for Juniper Networks in Sunnyvale, CA. The planned ten-building, 2.5 million square foot campus is to accommodate Juniper Networks growth over the next ten years. Juniper Networks is currently headquartered in three adjacent 425,000 square feet of buildings entitled and constructed in 1998-2002 by Ms. Vaughan.Ms. Vaughan also developed a two-building 171,000 square foot build-to-suit for Yahoo! Inc. in Sunnyvale, California. In the late 1990�s, she completed the development of the 604,870 square foot Corporate Technology Centre, a 33 acre Research and Development eight-building campus, and Junction Business Park, a 150,000 square foot four-story office building, both in North San Jose. Additionally, she is the principal owner in Menlo Equities Development Services Company LLC (�MEDSCO�?) which secured the entitlements in 2004 for the $500 million mixed-use Sunnyvale Town Center regional mall.Prior to joining MENLO EQUITIES, Ms. Vaughan was a Vice President and Development Partner with The Koll Company in San Jose. At Koll, she developed over 500,000 square feet of Research & Development, office and retail space in Silicon Valley and coordinated the land planning and entitlements for a large acre industrial park. Prior to the Koll Company, Ms. Vaughan was at Wells Fargo Bank as a vice president of the commercial real estate group in Silicon Valley.Ms. Vaughan holds an MBA with honors from Northwestern University in Finance and Accounting. She is a structural engineer with a Master's Degree with honors from the University of Maryland and an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Ohio State University. Ms. Vaughan is a member and former board member of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP) and an Urban Land Institute member. |
