Janell Moerer joined Via Christi Health System in 1999 as Vice President for Business Development. In her role, Janell assesses and develops ongoing growth strategies and opportunities across the health system. She initiated and developed the Growth and Technology Center to bring stakeholders across the system together for clinical technology assessment. She led the acquisition and implementation of eCare-ICU, a remote monitoring technology for intensive care patients that is projected to save lives, reduce length of stay in intensive care and save healthcare dollars. In addition, she brokered Mobile PET/CT services for early adoption by rural regional hospitals which otherwise could not afford PET/CT technology.
Janell has been involved in negotiations for joint operating agreements with hospitals, supports VCHS' regional hospital CEOs on specific growth opportunities and has overseen the health system's Affiliated Medical Services clinical reference laboratory which conducts more than 2 million tests per year for hospitals, industry and government.
Prior to joining VCHS, Moerer worked in marketing, corporate and business development for post-acute and rehabilitation companies, retooling marketing efforts and increasing market share. She was Vice President of Marketing for a national MGA that sold accident and sports liability insurance and worked in business development for Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka, Kan. |
