In my role with Consumer Affairs here at Kettle Foods, I�m the one who gets to interact with our customers every day. They have a wide variety of potato chip, tortilla chip, and nut butter curiosities, so no day is ever the same. It turns out that many of our fans have a bit of an addiction to our delicious potato chips. I received one e-mail that said: "I noticed on your site that at the present you have no counseling available, is this something you are going to offer in the future? And if so can I sign my wife up in advance?" Unfortunately, we�re not equipped to offer these types of services. We also heard: "Did you know Kettle Chips have medicinal purposes? If I have a sore throat instead of gargling with yucky salt water, I eat Kettle Chips. The salt helps the sore throat and coughing subsides!" Of course we can�t condone this as a medical treatment, but we�re glad we could help.
I�ve discovered that working with potato chips is a lot like being in the field of education or grants (my previous fields) - there's always something new coming down the line! My new fave is the Kettle brand Bakes Aged White Cheddar. It is the best baked chip I have ever had!!! And I�m not just saying that.
But of course potato chips aren�t my whole life. I also enjoy designing dog jewelry, studying Italian opera, and each year creating an alternative Holiday lights tour where I take my friends around town to view the strange and curious decorations like hanging Elvis Santas. My idea of a great vacation would be camping out in a beautiful wilderness area (Oregon and BC have some great places) where there are no phones or e-mail. |
