Janice Hallmark has been employed at Sumner Regional Health Systems, Inc., since June 24, 1992. She is responsible for human resources, training and development, marketing, Sumner Corporate Health, employee health, volunteers and the Sumner Foundation. Prior to her current position at SRHS, Hallmark served for eight years in human resource management positions at Vanderbilt University. Hallmark also owned and operated two full-service employment agencies, including nurse registries in New Castle and Sharon, Pa. Hallmark earned her bachelor of science degree from Slippery Rock University, Slippery Rock, Pa., and a master of education degree in human resource management from Vanderbilt University. In 1993, Hallmark was nationally certified as a senior professional in human resources by the Society for Human Resource Management. She has served as president of the Tennessee Society for Healthcare Human Resources Association and president of Middle Tennessee Healthcare Human Resources Association. Hallmark also received the Paul Guy Mentorship Award for exceptional leadership in human resources and the Past Presidents Award for outstanding leadership, the Internal Communication Award and Electronic Media Award, all from the American Hospital Association. She also serves on the Volunteer State Community College Foundation Board. |
