After raising three children, she made the decision to return to school to obtain a J.D., which she received in 2003. She joined the Merrillville office of Spangler, Jennings & Dougherty in 2004. Janis practices tort litigation, and she represents both defendants and plaintiffs. She has represented clients in such matters as personal injury, premise liability, and medical malpractice cases.
