Jared is a partner in the business law department. He focuses his practice on federal, state and local taxation, including creating and implementing tax-efficient structures for the firm's clients. In addition, Jared works in conjunction with the estate planning and administration practice group on tax matters relating to estate planning and estate administration. He is a member of the limited liability companies and partnerships practice group.

Provided advice to private equity clients in connection with the structuring of equity and debt investments in corporations and limited liability companies.
Assisted clients in forming 501(c)(3) charitable organizations and on-going compliance.
Assisted publicly traded companies in connection with tax aspects of executive compensation arrangements.
Assisted clients in North Carolina and South Carolina tax planning and compliance and in controversies with the North Carolina and South Carolina Department of Revenue.
Assisted clients with estate planning and estate administration matters, including formation of family limited partnerships and LLCs and client representation in estate tax audits.
