Jarl Mohn, known as Lee Masters since his radio days, has spent the past 20 years leading some of the media businesses� most recognized brands and companies from inception to launch. A true visionary in the entertainment space, Mohn divides his time between being a corporate director and advisor to various media and technology companies, and making private equity investments in venture capital and buyout opportunities. Previously, he was the founding President and CEO of Liberty Digital, a public company that invested in interactive television, cable networks and Internet enterprises; creator, President and CEO of E! Entertainment Television; and Executive Vice President and General Manager of MTV and VH1, where he led the strategic development of the networks transition from music videos to longer-form programming, and oversaw its worldwide expansion. Prior to his career in television, Mohn enjoyed a successful 19 year career in radio.
He is currently on the Boards of the E.W. Scripps Company, CNET and XM Radio and chair of the ACLU Foundation of Southern California, on the USC Annenberg School for Communications Board of Councilors, and a trustee of the Museum of Contemporary Art and KPCC, and Southern California Public Radio. |
