Jason C. Ewing is Managing Director at Stevenson & Company. Ewing focuses his practice on advising mid-market business owners on strategies for business growth, enhancing overall business viability and creating personal liquidity. He has developed significant M&A expertise in capital raising, acquisition advisory and business sales. Ewing has worked on M&A assignments for companies in a variety of industries including: software, consulting, business services, telecommunications, engineering services, printing, distribution, staffing, custom design packaging, automotive, construction, specialty trucking, consumer products and specialty manufacturing. He is a leader in the M&A profession in Chicago: for his creative and tireless work with General Electric and Greenfield Commercial Credit on the financing of a large, troubled manufacturing company, Ewing was awarded the 2006 Collaboration Award from the Midwest Business Brokers and Intermediaries Association. Additionally, Ewing currently serves on the board of Eclipsecurity, LLC (www.eclipsec.com ), a consulting company that assesses and manages enterprise risk and security for fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Stevenson & Company, Ewing's M&A experience included working for Vcapital Inc., a Chicago based Venture Capital firm, Jesup & Lamont, a 125 year old New York City based investment bank and working for a Chicago based boutique investment bank focused on acquisition search, business sales of healthy and distressed companies, and Asia related M&A. Prior to Ewing s investment banking experience, he worked in the telecommunications industry for AT&T consulting with mid-market businesses regarding competitive strategies utilizing internet, data and telecommunications technologies. In addition, he served as General Manager for Frontier Communications (Fortune 500), responsible for the sales, marketing and overall profitability of the Chicago region. Ewing s hobbies include golf, triathlons, gardening, international travel and teaching private wine classes. He also volunteers as an interviewer for the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Foundation ( www.dmsf.org ), a non-profit organization that provides four-year high school scholarships and educational support services to economically disadvantaged Chicago eighth grade students who demonstrate academic potential in order to ensure they are properly prepared for college.
