Jason Friedman joined CLS in 2007 and brings extensive media experience, both as a national award-winning journalist and as a Communications Director on Capitol Hill. Jason�s years as a television news reporter give him valuable firsthand insights into how high-profile stories are covered and how messages are shaped through news cycles. His work in journalism took him to South Africa with CNN, the presidential campaign trail, and many small towns in between. He is a recipient of the National Edward R. Murrow Award for his in-depth reporting at KARK-TV, the NBC affiliate in Little Rock, Arkansas. Jason started his journalism career at a CBS affiliate in southeastern Kansas. He also worked as an investigative reporter for Fox in Kansas City, Missouri. After spending years covering politics and government, Jason made the switch to the other side of political journalism, where he served as the Communications Director on a nationally-targeted Congressional race in Ohio. He went on to serve as Communications Director for United States Congressman Charlie Wilson (D-OH). Jason holds a B.A. in political science and journalism from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. |
