Jason King is the Weekend Sports Anchor and Weekday Sports Reporter at WMUR-TV. He joined the sports staff at Channel 9 in August of 1997. Jason was born in Weymouth, Mass., but moved to Merrimack, N.H., when he was 9 years old. At Merrimack HS, he was Captain of the football team and also played baseball & basketball. Jason attended Syracuse University and the University of New Hampshire before graduating from Rivier College's night school with a Bachelor of Art Degree in Communication. Among the major stories Jason has followed were the 2004 World Series between the Red Sox and the Cardinals. He has also covered three American League Championship Series between the Yankees and Red Sox. Plus nine years worth of races at New Hampshire International Speedway, Hockey East and NCAA tournaments. Jason's most memorable event to date was covering the final NFL game ever played at the old Foxboro Stadium, the "snow bowl" playoff game between the Raiders and Patriots. In his spare time, Jason enjoys golf, movies and spending time with his wife and four children. |
