Jay C. McClung joined BankAtlantic in March 2000 as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer. In September of 2004, he was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer. Prior to joining BankAtlantic he was Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer at Synovus Financial Corp., a $13 billion multi-bank holding company headquartered in Columbus, Georgia. Prior to that, he worked with GE Capital for 15 years. Mr. McClung holds a Business Administration degree from Columbus State University. While in Columbus, he served on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Affordable Housing Corp. and many other civic organizations such as the House of T.I.M.E., Inc., the Columbus Optimist, and Leadership Columbus. He served as a Board member of the local RMA chapter and is a graduate and alumni of the Leadership Columbus program. |
