Jay J. Rasmus, CPA, PFS, MST is a partner with Carlin, Charron & Rosen, LLP, responsible for the Glastonbury office. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Central Connecticut State University and a master's degree in taxation from the University of Hartford. Mr. Rasmus has more than 20 years of public accounting experience, including ten years in a Big Four accounting firm. Mr. Rasmus worked for DiSanto, Bertoline & Company, P.C. as the partner in charge of the firm's Entrepreneurial Tax and Consulting Division until the firm merged with Carlin, Charron & Rosen, LLP in October 2002. Mr. Rasmus' industries of expertise include closely-held companies in manufacturing and high technology, construction, distribution, real-estate development, service organizations, and wholesale trade. His background encompasses individual, partnership and corporate federal and state income taxes, employee-benefit and retirement plans, estate planning, and taxation of foreign investments. He is a certified public accountant and has also earned the Personal Financial Specialist designation. |
