Jay Kidd is the senior vice president and general manager of the Emerging Products Group at Network Appliance. Kidd is primarily responsible for leading the Decru, Alacritus, V-Series, and NetCache� product offerings at NetApp. Kidd has over 25 years of experience in networking and high-performance systems. Before joining NetApp, he held the position of chief technology officer and vice president of Product Management at Brocade where he was vital to developing and implementing the Brocade product roadmap, including infrastructure and strategic evangelism. Before joining Brocade, Kidd was vice president of Marketing for Omneon Inc., a supplier of storage and networking equipment for video broadcasters. Prior to Omneon, he was vice president of Marketing for MultiGen-Paradigm, Inc., a real-time, 3D simulation software company. Kidd spent seven years at Silicon Graphics (SGI), where he directed marketing efforts for the SGI Web systems business and several other successful products. He also worked at Hewlett Packard, where he held key engineering and marketing management positions in the Information Networks Group. Kidd holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Princeton University. |
