Jay Markley joined Columbia Capital in 1996. His primary areas of investment focus are wireless infrastructure and communications technology companies. Markey is currently a member of the Board of Directors of BroadSoft, Intersect Software, Luna Technologies, Megisto Systems and ReefEdge. He is actively involved with Coriolis Networks, Neoworld, Photuris and Taqua Systems. Former portfolio companies that Markley worked closely with include Altiga Networks (purchased by Cisco Systems), Ocular Networks (purchased by Tellabs), Torrent Networking Technologies (purchased by Ericsson), and WNP Communications (purchased by XO Communications). Prior to joining Columbia Capital, Markley served at the Federal Communications Commission where he developed U.S. Government wireless communications and spectrum auction policy, and assisted in the implementation of the Telecommunications Act of 1996. In addition, he held positions in real estate and corporate finance for Kidder, Peabody & Co. Incorporated in both New York City and Hong Kong. Markley received his B.A. from Washington & Lee University and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. |
