Jay Popli, B.S., MBA Jay Popli has more than 13 years experience in pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing. Currently he is Executive Vice President of Hygeia Therapeutics (formerly Orcas Therapeutics), a company developing intra-vaginal hormonal products and drug repositioning strategies to accelerate time to marketing approval. Prior to joining Hygeia Therapeutics, Mr. Popli was Senior Director of Marketing at Sepracor, where he led the consumer marketing efforts for Lunesta , a popular sleep aid. Lunesta captured a 14 percent share of the market in nine months and ranks as the seventh fastest launch in US pharmaceutical history. BrandWeek recognized Mr. Popli as one of its two Marketers of the Year in 2006 for his work in launching Lunesta. Before joining Sepracor, Mr. Popli held key positions at Novartis Consumer Health and Procter and Gamble. While at Novartis he helped launch key products within the Maalox and Lamisil franchises. At Procter and Gamble he helped develop the initial positioning and launch plans for Actonel , a multi-billion dollar osteoporosis medication. Mr. Popli holds a BS in Optics and a MBA from the University of Rochester. |
