Dr. Schechtman has worked for numerous MSO clients to assure that claims are adjudicated according to client medical policies as well as assuring maximum HEDIS performance. In the past 10 years, he has worked for managed care organizations in both commercial lines of business and government programs. Major accomplishments include HEDIS turn-around, provider profiling initiatives and member and provider incentive programs. Dr. Schechtman is involved at the onset of all RFP's to assure that client's payment, authorization and quality needs are addressed through implementation. Dr. Schechtman has significant market experience in medical cost reduction through medical management, ancillary and network initiatives.
Prior to working in managed care, Dr. Schechtman worked as a full time academic physician. Currently, Dr. Schechtman is an assistant clinical professor at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He obtained a MD degree from Mount Sinai and an MBA from the combined healthcare program of Mount Sinai and Baruch College. Dr. Schechtman is board-certified in rehabilitation medicine and was chief resident at Mount Sinai in New York. |
