Jay S. Witzel, a senior executive in the hospitality businesses of Carlson, serves as president and CEO of Carlson Hotels Worldwide and CEO of Regent. In this role, he leads the global strategies and growth of all of Carlson's hotel operations, which currently includes more than 950 locations in 70 countries. He also oversees the company's award-winning cruise company, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, which includes four luxury vessels sailing worldwide itineraries.
The five brands of Carlson Hotels Worldwide encompass the major segments of the hotel industry and include Regent Hotels & Resorts, Radisson Hotels & Resorts, Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson and Park Inn hotels. The executive leaders of the company's global hotel structure report to Jay who is responsible for the development and implementation of overall strategies and guiding the organization's resources to support the success of the individual brands.
Jay is also responsible for Regent Seven Seas Cruises, twice chosen as the World's Best Small Cruise Line by the readers of Travel+Leisure and in 2003 by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler magazine. Regent Seven Seas Cruises has earned a leadership role in the six-star segment of the cruise industry with a fleet of luxury ships providing the highest standards of cruising excellence
