Jean-Pierre Boisivon was appointed to the Lafarge Board of Directors in 2005.
He has held responsibilities in both education and business. From 1980 to 2000, he was a university professor at the University of Paris II Panth�on Assas. He headed the Department of Evaluation and Trends at the French Ministry of Education from 1987 to 1990, and the Essec Group from 1990 to 1997. He served as Deputy Chief Operating Officer of the Caisse d'Epargne de Paris from 1978 to 1985 and was General Secretary of the Union des Banques � Paris from 1985 to 1987.
His term of office expires at the General Meeting approving financial statements for the financial year ended 2008.
He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Centre National d'Enseignement � Distance (CNED), Deputy General Manager of the Institut de l'Entreprise and Chairman of the organizing committee of the labor exhibition "Un des Meilleurs Ouvriers de France".
Mr. Boisivon holds 1,150 Lafarge shares. He is 66 years old. |
