As corporate vice president of Office Authoring Applications for the Microsoft Business Division, Jeanne Sheldon leads the product development teams for Microsoft Office Word, Office OneNote, Office Publisher and Microsoft Works. These applications are a central part of the Microsoft Office system, supporting the information worker with collaborative authoring, note-taking and publishing capabilities.
Sheldon joined Microsoft in 1989 as a software test manager for Microsoft Word. Her subsequent role was general manager of Microsoft�s Sustaining Engineering Services where maintenance and continuous improvement of the Office in-market products were a main focus. Sheldon led the team that integrated Office updates with Microsoft Update, managed customer programs such as the Technology Adoption Program (TAP) and technical betas for Office 2003 and the 2007 Office system, and led the Microsoft Office Y2K preparedness effort. Before coming to Microsoft, she served as a section manager in software quality assurance for Software Publishing Corp. |
