Dr. Britt oversees Global Solar's R&D and Engineering, including the development of the technology roadmap, budgeting, staffing and project leadership. He joined global Solar in 1998 and helped develop the company's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Tucson, Arizona. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida in 1989, an M.S. in Engineering Science, also from USF, and a B.S. in Physics from the University of Florida. Prior to joining Global Solar, Dr. Britt was Director of Photovoltaic Development at Energy Photovoltaics, Inc. of Lawrenceville, N.J. There, he was co-principal investigator for multiple subcontracts from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory that supported the development of CIGS solar modules. Dr. Britt has authored or co-authored more than 45 publications and holds two U.S. patents. |
