Dr. Jeff Capone has devoted his career to researching wireless and wireline networks and applications. As Verkata's CTO, Jeff leads the technology development and is the principal architect of Verkata's innovative product line. Jeff has architected and built numerous software products that are deployed by Global 2000 companies worldwide processing millions of business transactions. Prior to leading Verkata's engineering team, he was the co-founder and CTO of Aligo, where he architected and built award winning software products M-1 Server and Omni Mobile Application Platform. His products won numerous awards including Java Developer Journal Excellence Award, Network World Best Middleware Award. Previously, Jeff was an assistant professor at Arizona State University and director of the Network Engineering and Wireless Telecom Lab. Jeff's distinctions include the National Science Foundation CAREER Award (awarded in part by the Next-generation Internet project) and numerous IEEE Journal and conference publications. Jeff is the officer of the IEEE Technical Committee on Computer Communications; ACM/IEEE Mobile Communication Conference and IEEE Global Communication Committees. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University and BS from University of Vermont. |
