Jeff Kelly is executive vice president of EDS' Americas region which consists of the United States Canada General Motors and Latin America. Kelly is a member of the company's Executive Committee.
Previously Kelly was EDS' vice president responsible for its General Motors (GM) account one of EDS' largest and most significant accounts. This team provides leading-edge information technology (IT) and business process services in support of GM's global engineering manufacturing supply chain and business operations.
Kelly has a long career in operations and client management with EDS including his previous role as divisional vice president of Infrastructure Portfolio where he led EDS services focused on transformation in IT outsourcing agile infrastructure and leveraged market solutions.
He is a results-oriented client-focused executive who drives value by delivering on EDS' commitments and looking for new ways to serve clients. He started his career with General Motors in 1978 and transitioned to EDS in 1985 after it was acquired by GM. Kelly stayed with the GM account until 1993 to become the divisional manager in Lansing Michigan supporting GM's small car division. He left the GM team in late 1993 to head EDS' delivery operations in Canada. Since that time he has held several leadership positions including responsibility for EDS' Health Care strategic business unit and EDS' delivery organization in the Americas. These positions included operational sales and service excellence responsibilities for the many clients EDS serves in these markets.
In 2002 Kelly went to EDS' newly formed Portfolio organization to advance the company's infrastructure offerings and develop strategic alternatives for innovation and market-based outsourcing offerings. His portfolio team created a corporate investment plan and strategy to deliver next-generation offerings in network and infrastructure offerings for the IT services market. This was complemented with new strategic Agility Alliances with Sun Cisco EMC and others to extend the company's value proposition to existing and future clients.
Kelly is a member of the EDS Benefits Oversight Committee and is a board member of the SM&IS Advisory Board at the University of Missouri at Rolla and the Cranbrook Institute of Science in Michigan.
He earned his bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla in 1978 and his master's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan in Flint. During his years at EDS he has participated in a number of developmental and transformation programs for services and global management.
