Jeff Lower, Vice President, 3001 Civil Works : Mr. Lower is Vice President of 3001 Civil Works. Mr. Lower joined 3001 in 1995 as a GIS Analyst. He quickly mastered the Intergraph and ESRI GIS platforms, implementing systems for local, state, and federal government geospatial projects. This included a turnkey GIS for the New Orleans Downtown Development District, data conversion projects for the U.S. Geological Survey, and CADD-to-GIS integration projects for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). He was promoted to Operations Manager of 3001's Gainesville facility in 1998, where he was responsible for all production activities performed at that site.
He was a critical member of 3001's team that helped the USACE implement the Regional Engineering and Environmental Geospatial Information System (REEGIS) for the Atchafalaya River and the lower Mississippi River. This led to his involvement in helping the USACE develop comprehensive GIS Implementation Plans for several districts along the Mississippi River. He also directed the first Inland Electronic Nautical Chart (IENC) project performed by 3001 for the USACE. He is a contributing member of the international workgroup that sets policies and procedures for worldwide IENC creation.
Mr. Lower holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Geography from the University of Florida. |
