Jeff is our key spokesperson in regional and national dialogs about Regence's vision for creating a rational and sustainable health care system. He builds support among key constituencies, including physicians, for transparency of health care information and cost.
Jeff was named to his current position in 2004 after serving as senior vice president of healthcare services and Regence BlueShield Informatics since 2000. From 1998 to 2000, Jeff served as Regence BlueShield's vice president and chief medical officer.
Jeff's other professional positions included his role as chief medical officer for NYLCare Health Plans Northwest in Seattle, medical director for Aetna US Healthcare, medical director for QualMed Health Plan in Washington, and private practice physician for Family Practice and Emergency Medicine.
He holds a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Rice University and a medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. His residency was through the University of Washington and he is board certified in Managed Care Medicine. |
