My first job at Malloy was in the folding department. I alternated between third and first shift during my two years working a folder. In 1979, I transferred to the Book Engineering Department where I created production orders for our production departments. In the early years we shared one computer and wrote most orders by hand.In the late 80's, I became a Pricing Representative (Estimator) and worked in this job for six years. Along the way I was able to substitute for CSR's when they were absent and found that working with publishers was both rewarding and interesting.In 1994, I became a full-time CSR and have worked mostly with our customers on the West Coast. While a majority of the publishers I work with are still located in California, I do serve a number of customers in the Northwest and Rocky Mountain states. |
