is the Chief Technology Officer of MicroSat Systems since its inception and performed the Program Manager/System Engineer role for the TechSat 21 and Roadrunner (JWS-D1) programs. Mr. Summers joined ITN Energy Systems in November 1995 as the Manager of Aerospace Engineering and Product Development. In 2000 he was instrumental in spinning off the MicroSat Systems company which successfully bid and won the TechSat 21 procurement for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL).
Prior to joining MSI, Mr. Summers spent 11 years at Lockheed Martin and was responsible for the integration of advanced technologies into both NASA and DOD spacecraft systems. He directly supported Lockheed Martin�s Mars and interplanetary exploration missions, performing spacecraft configuration design, subsystem packaging, and fabrication/test of the flight vehicles. He was presented a Technical Achievement Award for his efforts at integrating advanced technologies into spacecraft design, and was named co-author of the Year in the Astronautics Group. Mr. Summers has BS, in Mechanical Engineering, from Montana State University. |
