Jeff practices commercial, civil and state litigation before state and federal courts. He has handled a wide variety of cases including class actions, tortious interference with contract, breach of non-competition agreements, disputes involving breach of contract, partnership, stock and shareholder agreements and disputes, trade secret infringement, mail/wire fraud, toxic torts, environmental contamination, and employment contract claims.
Jeff also has experience with complex litigation involving federal environmental laws, including the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and Superfund. He has specific experience representing companies in multiparty toxic tort litigation and has represented various corporations before the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission in permit and enforcement proceedings.
Jeff was awarded the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency Bronze Medal Award and the U.S. Department of Justice Special Achievement Award, while previously working for the U.S. Department of Justice.
REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
Litigation On Behalf of Plaintiffs
Obtained large civil judgment in Llano, County, Texas lawsuit concerning underground petroleum contamination and breach of contract by gasoline distributor.
Prosecuted claims of Central Texas software company in federal and state lawsuits alleging theft of trade secrets, conspiracy and fraud against client's largest competitor.
Litigation On Behalf of Defendants
Represented national real estate investment trust company in partnership dispute over management and control of Central Texas apartment complex.
Defended chemical supplier in lawsuit brought by a large semiconductor manufacturer, alleging that contaminated chemicals had damaged the manufacturer's silicon wafer production process.
Defended Texas A&M University in federal and state lawsuits brought by neighboring landowners alleging environmental pollution and civil rights claims.
Represented gasoline pipeline companies in multiparty toxic tort litigation involving allegations of underground petroleum contamination in Austin, Texas.
Managing a docket of over one hundred personal injury lawsuits filed in central and south Texas on behalf of several large industrial clients.
