Jeffrey A. Brantley is a member of Kerr, Russell and Weber, PLC. Mr. Brantley's practice is concentrated in the areas of business law, tax law, government contracting, employee benefits, and international law. He is a certified public accountant, one of several CPA lawyers in the firm. Mr. Brantley regularly represents domestic and multinational clients engaged in the manufacturing, engineering services and high technology industries. The services Mr. Brantley provides range from designing legal and tax structures for a business to planning and executing mergers, acquisitions and dispositions. He is routinely involved in the preparation, negotiation and review of government and commercial contracts and subcontracts, strategic alliances, research and development contracts, cost accounting and allowability issues, joint venture agreements, intellectual property licensing agreements, offshore life insurance vehicles, and advising on related export/import laws and tax treaty implications.
Mr. Brantley is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association and the Macomb County Bar Association. Mr. Brantley has lectured and written on various business and tax related subjects including state and local tax presentations and estate planning matters.
Mr. Brantley received his law degree cum laude in 1985 from Michigan State University College of Law. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. Prior to joining Kerr, Russell and Weber, Mr. Brantley was employed by Deloitte & Touche as a Senior Tax Consultant.
