Jeffrey A. Peck, a partner of the firm, focuses his litigation practice on the preparation and trial of cases involving professional liability, toxic tort, pharmaceutical and medical device product liability claims in state and federal court. He also represents health care providers before state agencies and professional licensing boards, and is active as a lecturer to various legal organizations in health care related fields. Beginning in 1996, Jeff served as regional counsel, later as national coordinating counsel and national trial counsel, in defense of asbestos claims for a major manufacturer of friction products.
Jeff served as president of the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey (TANJ) and as chairman of its Board of Trustees. He was a Master of the Worrall F. Mountain Inn of Court from 1989-2001, was elected trustee of the Morris County Bar Association in 1995 and was appointed to serve an eight-year term on its Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee from 1998-2006. Jeff was a member of the Supreme Court District X Ethics Committee for Morris County and served as its chairman.
In 2006, Jeff received the prestigious Trial Bar Award from the Trial Attorneys of New Jersey, a recognition of excellence given by peers to trial attorneys who have distinguished themselves in the cause of justice. Jeff is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey, a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and a member of the American, New Jersey, Morris and Essex County Bar Associations.
Jeff joined the firm in 1971 after a clerkship in the Chancery Division of the Superior Court. |
