Jeffrey A. Segal is the Resident Partner for the Commercial Motor Vehicle Section in the Firm�s New Jersey office. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of New Jersey and New York, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He focuses his practice on the defense of transportation companies and their insurers. Jeff graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in 1991 and in 1994, he earned his law degree from New York Law School where he was the Notes and Comments Editor of the New York Law School Journal of Human Rights. He served as a Clerk for the Honorable Irwin I. Kimmelman, Presiding Judge, Chancery Division, Hudson County, New Jersey. Later, he was a Deputy Attorney General, State of New Jersey Attorney General�s Office from 1995-1998. In 2005, New Jersey Monthly announced that he was named a "New Jersey Super Lawyer" for his experience and competence. Only 5% of New Jersey attorneys have earned that distinction. Jeff has spoken frequently and written several articles on transportation issues. He has been invited to address the New Jersey Motor Truck Association as well as numerous transportation and insurance companies. He is the author of the New Jersey Law Summary which highlights laws which affect commercial motor vehicles operating in the State of New Jersey. Jeff is an active member of transportation industry groups such as the Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA), Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA), New Jersey Motor Truck Association (NJMTA) and the Defense Research Institute (DRI). |
