Jeff has a broad background in electronic discovery, computer forensics, software development, and systems integration. His technical experience spans network/infrastructure design, enterprise-scale software design, development and implementation, data center build-out and operational management, systems integration, and platform migrations.
Professional Experience
Prior to joining Huron, Jeff was a Director in Navigant Consulting, Inc.'s Discovery Services practice, responsible for developing and managing the New York Metro region. He has also held management positions as a Principal in Dell's Professional Services division, Sr. Vice President - Midwest region, of Tallan, Inc., and was a Manager in Arthur Andersen's Legal Business Consulting and Litigation Information Consulting practices.
Jeff has consulted on all facets of electronic discovery, computer forensics, and litigation support, primarily in support of large-scale litigation and investigation matters. In recent years, he has led several efforts to assist in the response to Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Trade Commission, Department of Justice, and other government agency investigations on behalf of clients' management, board of directors, audit, and special committees insofar as electronic discovery is concerned. He has also aided in internal investigations and civil litigation matters.
In addition, Jeff has assisted clients in the design, implementation, and integration of in-house enterprise records management, evidence preservation (legal holds), and electronic discovery solutions.
Representative examples of Jeff's engagement experience include:
Directed a multitude of high profile, large scale electronic discovery engagements in coordination with outside and inside counsel/executives.
Directed the analysis of accounting, financial reporting, and other transactional systems in support of electronic discovery and expert reports and testimony.
Served as technical advisor to a Fortune-50 clients' project team, supporting the design, development, and implementation of an enterprise records management platform with a focus on email management and downstream electronic discovery.
Testified as a 30(b)(6) witness in the defense of a medical insurance class action matter.
Directed an 18-month, multi-million page document imaging project for a consumer goods company. Led an 80-member team in the on-site build-out of a processing platform, and the subsequent imaging, blowback, review, coding, and production of documents in support of multi-billion dollar litigation.
Directed a highly security-sensitive effort to design, develop, and deploy a secure, portable application in support of the training of hundreds of regional and local law firms in trial strategy and execution.
Assisted in the development and launch of a comprehensive technology center providing document processing, document coding, hosting, and software development, and the subsequent migration of key client systems to the facility.
