Jeffrey E. Mead, CPA is a partner in the Audit Department of Carlin, Charron & Rosen, LLP. Mr. Mead graduated Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Mr. Mead joined the firm in 2002 and has more than 25 years of auditing, accounting, and tax experience. He previously worked for another regional CPA firm, where he was a partner in the Accounting and Audit Department. His industries of specialty include technology businesses, manufacturing companies, publishers, and professional services firms, including government contractors. He also specializes in numerous business consulting areas including ownership transition, overhead rate analysis, profitability analysis, and general strategic planning. Mr. Mead is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also an adjunct professor in the College of Management at the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, where he lectures to undergraduate accounting and management students in the subject areas of auditing, cost management systems, and managerial accounting. Mr. Mead has also appeared on New England Cable News, most recently to discuss the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and has published articles ranging from sources of financial services, selecting the correct form of corporate structure, and expectations of the audit process. |
