Jeffrey Kapor serves as Chair of the Firm's Business Practices and Apparel Industry Practice Groups.
A significant part of Mr. Kapor's practice comprises the representation of apparel industry manufacturers, importers, retailers, converters, textile mills, factors and banks. His experience includes mergers and acquisitions, commercial law, debtor and creditor relations, financial and business planning, licensing, and trademark matters and corporate law.
In 2004, Mr. Kapor was honored with the Spirit of Life Award by the Apparel Industries Group for the City of Hope. In addition, he has been listed as one of the Twenty-five Most Influential People in the apparel industry by Apparel News magazine. He lectures in various legal educational programs and has been a featured speaker at seminars for accounting firms and financial institutions with specialization in the apparel and textile industry.
Mr. Kapor received his B.A. in Political Science in 1975 from the University of California, Los Angeles and his J.D. in 1978 from Southwestern University School of Law.
Mr. Kapor has served as a Judge Pro Tem in the Los Angeles Municipal Court and is an arbitrator for the Los Angeles County Bar Association. In the community, he is a past President of the Professions and Finance Associates for the City of Hope, and a past President of the Board of Directors of Chatsworth Hills Academy. He also serves on the Council of National Trustees of the National Jewish Medical and Research Center.
