Jeffrey J. Bussgang is a general partner with IDG Ventures, a global venture capital firm. Prior to IDG Ventures, Jeffrey co-founded Upromise, a marketing services firm where he served as director, president and chief operating officer. During Jeffreys tenure, he helped the company raise $100 million in venture capital, acquire three million members and scale to more than 200 employees. Prior to Upromise, Jeffrey served in a variety of executive roles at Internet commerce software leader Open Market, including vice president of worldwide marketing and business development, vice president of worldwide professional services and head of product management. Earlier, Jeffrey was with the strategy consulting firm, The Boston Consulting Group, and served on the executive team of Athena Design, an object-oriented software start-up. He holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Jeffrey is author of "Ruling The Net," a Harvard Business Review article predicting the development of Internet commerce. |
