As senior vice president of business operations, Jeff Hayes leads VHA's business development activities as well as health care organization, physician and consumer services. This includes outsourcing, information technology, LaurusHealth(tm), VHA's physician and consumer strategy, and VHA Online, a members-only community that connects the VHA alliance and provides information and services to support member health care organizations' strategies.Mr. Hayes joined VHA in 1993 as strategic planning director and assistant treasurer. He developed and launched the company's outsourcing business in 1996. In 1999, he was named a corporate finalist for the Outsourcing World Achievement Award and the only health care executive recognized in the competition.Prior to joining VHA, Mr. Hayes worked for eight years as a managing consultant for Towers Perrin General Management Consulting. From 1988 to 1989, he worked for the Owens Strategy Group as a consultant to corporations in the food and chemical industries.
