Mr. Doyle's practice focuses on all aspects of intellectual property law, with emphasis on patent prosecution, trademark and copyright law, as well as intellectual property litigation.
While in law school, Mr. Doyle was a law clerk to the Honorable Terrence H. Brennan of the 44th District Court for the State of Michigan and interned with the Honorable Lawrence P. Zatkoff of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Experience
Counseling clients in clearing, acquiring, securing registrations on, and enforcing trademarks
Assisting clients on proper trademark use, as well as facilitating foreign trademark protection where applicable
Counseling clients on various copyright issues including acquiring copyright registrations on various works of authorship including musical works, sound recordings, literary works and software programs
Preparation and procurement of patents in mechanical, electrical and electromechanical technologies, including vehicle axles/differentials, semiconductor devices, motor control systems, and computer implemented inventions
Preparing intellectual property licensing and other agreements
Preparation of intellectual property opinions including trademark use and registrability opinions, and patent infringement/noninfringement opinions
Assisting in corporate due diligence investigations relating to intellectual property issues
