Jeffrey M. Curry, a Director in the financial and risk management practice, focuses on risk management, including enterprise risk management, risk governance, operational risk management, risk analytics and model validations, risk assessment, and related board and management training; financial management, including investment, asset/liability and interest rate risk management; capital markets management; financial modeling and analysis, and related regulatory consulting.
Mr. Curry has twenty-eight years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Secura in 1996, Mr. Curry was the first Senior Capital Markets Officer with the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO), the primary regulator for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the nation�s secondary mortgage market agencies. While at OFHEO, Mr. Curry directed examinations of the financial operations of the mortgage agencies and assisted in the development of OFHEO�s comprehensive risk-based capital model. Before that, Mr. Curry was Assistant Director at the Office of Thrift Supervision, where he was involved in the supervision and resolution of large troubled thrift institutions at the height of the savings and loan bailout.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Curry held various senior consulting and officer positions in finance and risk management at several major institutions in the financial services industry, including Citicorp and First Interstate Bancorp. He was one of the original employees at U.S. Central Credit Union, a wholesale central banking organization for the credit union industry.
Mr. Curry received undergraduate degrees in accounting and finance and a MS degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. |
