Jeffrey R. Kosnett is a senior editor of Kiplinger's Personal Finance, specializing in investments and financial planning. He rejoined Kiplinger's in 2000 after six years as editor of Advisor Today, the world's largest life-insurance magazine. Before that, Jeff served 13 years with Kiplinger's, covering the economy and investments and writing the magazine's Months Ahead section (now titled Ahead, and ably authored by Anne Kates Smith). He has also been a newspaper reporter and business editor.
Jeff is a recipient of various awards, including first place in the National Press Club's best consumer journalism, the John Hancock and Amos Tuck business writing awards, and various citations from the Society of National Association Publications. He is a frequent speaker and lecturer and television guest.
Jeff graduated in 1976 from the Medill School of Journalism, at Northwestern University, and also completed a fellowship in management at the graduate school of business at Carnegie-Mellon University.
In his spare time, you'll find him fixing up a historic row house in Baltimore, riding his bicycle all over the Mid-Atlantic region, or at the duplicate bridge table around Baltimore and Washington. He is a life master of the American Contract Bridge League. |
