Jeffrey Leeds is the co-founder of Leeds Equity Partners, a leading New York-based private equity firm focusing on the education, training, and information services industries. Since its founding in 1993, Leeds Equity Partners, through its various investment partnerships, has raised and managed approximately $650 million of committed capital and invested in approximately 20 companies. Prior to founding Leeds Equity Partners, Jeffrey specialized in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance at the investment banking firm Lazard Freres & Co. As a lawyer, he served as a law clerk to the Hon. William J. Brennan, Jr., of the United States Supreme Court in 1985. Before clerking for Justice Brennan, he worked in the corporate department of the law firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York. Jeffrey graduated from Yale University, attended Oxford University as a Marshall Scholar, and earned a law degree from Harvard Law School. |
