Jeffrey Burgan is the Vice President of Engineering for M2Z Networks with responsibility for engineering and designing the architecture of M2Z's nationwide broadband IP network. Immediately prior to joining M2Z, he served as a consultant to various companies in the networking and telecommunication sector assisting them with technology strategy and product planning. Mr. Burgan was previously Senior Director of Backbone Engineering at Excite@Home where he was responsible for the architecture and engineering of their nationwide backbone network. Previously, Mr. Burgan worked at Bay Networks where he managed the software engineering group that designed and developed router software deployed by ISPs. Mr. Burgan also worked at the NASA Ames Research Center where he was responsible for the engineering and development of the NASA Science Internet network. Mr. Burgan is a graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a B.S. in Computer Science. Mr. Burgan currently serves on the technical advisory boards of several companies including Cariden Technologies and Aspen Networks. Additionally, he served for three years on the Internet Engineering Steering Group of the IETF. |
