Jeffrey 'Jay' Craig is senior vice president and controller of ArvinMeritor, Inc. He is responsible for worldwide financial controls and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements; financial systems; financial planning and management reporting; accounting policies; and external reporting and financial support in the attainment of operational goals and objectives. In addition, he is responsible for leading the company�s efforts to realize overhead cost reduction for indirect materials and savings associated with a financial shared services model, along with managing the Performance Plus program office.
Before joining ArvinMeritor, Craig served as president and CEO of General Motors Acceptance Corp.�s (GMAC) Commercial Finance organization from 2001 to 2006. Prior to that, he served as president and CEO of GMAC�s Business Credit division from 1999 until 2001. He joined GMAC as a general auditor in 1997 from Deloitte & Touche, where he served as an audit partner for 15 years.
Craig holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration from Duke University in Durham, N.C.
