Dr. Jeffrey S. Hyman received his medical degree in 1981 from SUNY (State University of New York), and went on to complete his residency training at Maimonides Medical Center in 1984. He is currently board certified in Internal Medicine. In 1994, he established one of the first walk-in medical offices in Brooklyn, NY The Treat and Release Center. It is there that he still practices medicine and is the managing physician of the office, where over 65 patients a day are treated with the help of two other physicians. It is at The Treat and Release Center where Dr. Hyman first started using iMedica, and continues to do so today. Dr. Hyman is also the Medical Director of the University Physicians Group (UPG), a 65-doctor primary care and multi-specialty medical group serving patients in Staten Island and Brooklyn, NY since January 2000. His functions there are both clinical and administrative. The Treat and Release Center is part of UPG. Dr. Hyman has written many articles on the implementation of the Electronic Health Record, and has participated at many healthcare-focused trade shows. He is passionate about the use of the Electronic Health Record and how it can enhance the quality of medical care in the 21st century. |
