Jeff is President and Scientific Director of the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) and Adjunct Professor of Oncology, The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Prior to forming TGen, Jeff served ten years as the Director of the Division of Intramural Research and Chief of the Cancer Genetics Branch of the National Human Genome Research Institute of the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Trent's research has provided important insights into the genetic basis of cancer. Other positions Jeff has held include: Emanuel N. Maisel Professor of Oncology, Professor and Director for the Division of Cancer Biology, Professor of Human Genetics, Deputy Director and Director of Basic Research, The University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Acting Director, Human Genome Center all at The University of Michigan; and, Associate Professor of Hematology/Oncology and Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology both at the College of Medicine, University of Arizona, Tucson. Jeff is also author of over 300 manuscripts in the scientific literature, has received numerous honors and awards, and sits on the editorial boards of multiple scientific publications. |
