Jeff Quinn is Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Solutia Inc.
Jeff has led Solutia�s successful reorganization, culminating in the company�s February 2008 emergence from Chapter 11 as a world leader in specialty chemicals and performance materials.
Under his leadership, the company has strengthened its portfolio of high-potential businesses, enhanced performance through the Chairman�s Operational Excellence Initiative and improved financial results. Both revenues and earnings have increased significantly during each year of his tenure.
He has restructured the company�s leadership team and led a broader reorganization of the management and organizational structure, infusing new talent and also elevating the role of strategic planning.
Jeff joined Solutia in January 2003 as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. In May 2004 he was named President and Chief Executive Officer. The role of Chairman was added to Jeff�s responsibilities in February 2006.
Prior to joining Solutia, Jeff was Executive Vice President of Premcor Inc., one of the nation�s largest independent oil refiners. His responsibilities included the legal, human resources, governmental and public affairs, and strategic planning functions. Jeff helped lead Premcor�s highly successful initial public offering.
Earlier, Jeff was Senior Vice President of Arch Coal, Inc., the nation�s second-largest coal producer. He was a member of the management team that grew the company through acquisitions from a small privately held entity to a publicly traded company with annual revenues of $2 billion.
Jeff received a bachelor�s degree in engineering and a Juris Doctor degree, both from the University of Kentucky.
In addition to Solutia�s board, he serves on the Board of Directors of Tecumseh Products Company. |
